Artist Biography
I was born in 1988 in the small town of Wermelskirchen, nestled in the Bergisches Land region, about thirty kilometers from Cologne, Germany. Growing up surrounded by the quiet rhythm of a small town, I developed an early fascination with drawing and painting. As a child, I gravitated toward pencil sketches and watercolor, creating small illustrations and caricatures that I continued to explore well into my twenties.
After completing my training as a laboratory technician, I moved to Cologne to complete my Abitur. Although I chose not to pursue a formal art degree and this decision was a conscious one: I never wanted my creative process to be shaped by external expectations or academic structures. I believe that artistic expression should be driven by inner impulse rather than obligation.
At the age of 24, I began working with acrylic paints and continued for two years before transitioning to oil. After further experimentation, I ultimately returned to acrylics, drawn to their immediacy and versatility. While I occasionally integrate mixed media or unconventional materials, acrylic remains my primary medium.
Since my late twenties, I have focused exclusively on Dark Art, a genre that allows me to explore the raw, often hidden aspects of the human condition. My work centers on dark, surrealistic portraiture, capturing distorted emotions, inner conflict, and dreamlike visions that challenge perception.
